Challenges, Challenges, Challenges & A Free Potty People SVG Download
Today’s card was designed for three different challenges – The Moxie Fab World Trips and Tricks Week Alphabet Challenge Stickers, the CAS-ual Fridays Over The Edge Challenge CFC75 and the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #2. In planning for this card, I had all three challenge requirements in mind, and designed all the elements of the card to fit these challenges.

In honor of the latest issue of Paper Crafts Magazine – Paper Crafts Tips and Tricks – Cath Evaldson at Moxie Fab World is hosting a series of 5 different challenges this week. Today’s challenge is the Alphabet Sticker Challenge - so, to incorporate alphabet stickers into our project. I have to confess, I’m an alphabet sticker addict – the more the better – I love all the different sizes, the fonts, the finishes. Of course my problem is that I tend to hoard them, so this challenge was great for forcing me to dig into my stash. For today’s project I decided to incorporate two different alphabet stickers – MLS Blackberry alphabet, and Lilly Bee Design ABC Stickers – the ones that coordinate with their Handmade collection.
The potty people I used on the card are actually my own design which I created as an SVG file which you can download below by right clicking on the image below and selecting “download linked file”. If you have a machine that cuts SVG files you can then re-size them and cut them out. I imported my SVG into Silhouette’s Designer Studio Software and cut them out with my Silhouette Cameo. If you’ve never imported an SVG into the Silhouette Software – you do need the paid version of the software (Designer Edition) and once you import the file, you need to select the images, click on the “cut style window” and then select “cut edge”.
Below you can see a close up of my card.
I also wanted to enter this card in a couple more challenges:
I’ve recently discover the CAS-ual Fridays blog which hosts a weekly CAS challenge. This week’s challenge is to create a card which has an element that overhangs the edge of the card. As you can see from the picture, my sentiment flag was positioned so that it extended over the top left edge of the card.
The third challenge I wanted to enter this card into is another fun challenge blog I recently discovered called CAS(E) This Sketch. Their current challenge is to create a CAS (Clean and Simple) card that uses the sketch shown below. I immediately loved this sketch when I saw it, and was challenged by the fact that I’ve never used this design in any of my creations before.
Supplies:
Paper: Stampers Select White CS (Papertrey Ink), Ebony CS (Bazzill), Grapefruit patterned paper from Memorandum Collection (Lilly Bee Design)
Ink: R27 Copic Marker (to color rhinestones)
Accents: MLS Blackberry Alphabet Stickers (My Little Shoebox), ABC Stickers HDS2oo (Lilly Bee Design), clear rhinestones (Stampin’ Up!), Poppy Orange Glitter (Glitter Ritz), Hearts Collection Framelits (Stampin’ Up!)
Other: Silhouette Cameo
That’s all for today – I hope you enjoyed the project!
